George is an accomplished board member, attorney, entrepreneur, and management advisor with forty plus years of senior management and investing experience. Founder and CEO of Beechtree Capital LLC, a thirty plus year old private investment firm operating in New York and Arizona.

George was an investor and board member of numerous other publicly and privately held companies. He has served on the Board of Directors and on the Audit, Executive, Nominating and Governance, and/or Compensation Committees of over 20 private, AMEX and NYSE companies; and Chairman or Vice Chairman of the Board in 12 of these companies.

George’s advisory and investment expertise has contributed to the growth and success of numerous successful companies. He has personally led or participated in over 120 equity venture transactions aggregating over $700 Million as well as institutional debt and equity transactions involving over $1 Billion.


  • Co-founder, Board member and early investor in the primary predecessor of American Tower Corporation, which went from a 1993 valuation of approximately $8 Million to today’s NYSE valuation exceeding $84 Billion.

  • Senior advisor and private investor in a predecessor of Rogers Cable and AT&T Cable, the initial institutional advisor and 10 plus years board member of Nexsan Technologies and XOS Digital.

  • Vice Chairman of the Board, Committee Chairman and senior leader within The National Football Foundation, Inc, a highly respected organization promoting athletic and academic excellence, and the Play It Smart Foundation, an innovative educational and athletic program for inner city youth.

  • Board member and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of The Global Hunger project, an organization to end hunger and provide basic human rights.

  • George served for 10 years as an active Board member of Trustees of the United States Naval Academy Foundation.

  • George practiced Corporate Law at the New York Law Firm Rubin, Baum, Levin, Constant & Friedman, where he became a senior partner and member of the firm’s management committee. Through merger, the firm is now a major part of the New York office of Denton.
